Wednesday, February 3, was a cold and windy sail back to the Marquesas Keys, with 4-to-6-foot following seas. Just another lovely day of playing dodge-pot. How We Dried Our Tortugas

After a week of prep and more provisioning, we left Marathon Marina at 10:15am on Tuesday, January 19. A slight stick in the mud at low tide but an otherwise uneventful send off. Much appreciation to Captain Matt Dowd for bringing Casstaway in after her stay on the hard. And thank-you to our boat neighbor Nancy for loaning us her car for shopping and giving us a hand with lines as we headed out....

Happy We’re Having a New Year!

We absolutely loved our month in Indiana and Missouri celebrating the holidays (Covid-style - meaning smaller celebrations and some via Zoom) and spending time with the grands. Although we’re always torn between two lovers (Casstaway and our landlubbing family and friends), it was oh so nice to escape the snow and cold of the Midwest to return last week to our floating piece of paradise....
